Abstract:
|
Web-based homework is an integral component for all introductory physics courses at the University of Illinois, Urbana - Champaign (UIUC). One feature of our online homework system, Tycho®, is that it logs every student submission made to the system. We have used this information to identify and correct problematic homework questions as well as to determine common confusions that occur in our classes. In this talk I will explain how we perform this analysis and present some examples of our work.
