AIRFARE DISCOUNTS

Are there any airfare discounts for conference participants?  A conference discount has been arranged through Northwest Airlines

ATTIRE

What is the attire at the summer meeting?  The attire at the summer meeting is casual.   

GUESTS/SPOUSES

 I would like to register a guest/spouse for the Summer Meeting?  Guests and spouses are welcome to attend the AAPT Summer meeting.  Each (non-member) guest/spouse registration is $20 ($5 for Children 7-16 yrs.).  Guests will have access to all AAPT non-paid events. 

MEALS 

 

Will AAPT provide meals during the conference?  AAPT will provide complimentary meals/breaks at the following events.

  • Welcome Reception, Sunday, July 26, 8 - 10 pm
  • First Timer's Gathering, Monday, July 27, 7:00 - 8:30 am
  • Spouse's Gathering, Monday, July 27, 9:30 - 10:30 am
  • Exhibit Hall Morning Break, Monday, July 27, TBD
  • Exhibit Hall Afternoon Break, Monday, July 27, TBD
  • Poster Session I, Monday, July 27, 8:30 - 10 pm
  • Exhibit Hall Morning Break, Tuesday, July 28, TBD
  • Exhibit Hall Afternoon Break, Tuesday, July 28, TBD
  • Poster Session II, Tuesday, July 28, 8:30 - 10 pm
  • Great Book Give-a-Way, Wednesday, July 29, 8 - 9 am

MEETING SPACE NEEDED

 

 I am interested in hosting a meeting during your event.   How do I obtain meeting space?  Please fill out the Request for Meeting Space form.  There will be a $100 charge for each meeting room.  You will also be responsible for arranging your own food and beverage, audio visual and billing directly with the hotel/university.

 

PRESS MEMBERS

 

I am a member of the press – do you have press registration?  All members of the press should contact Marilyn Gardner, AAPT Director of Communications at mgardner@aapt.org or (301) 209-3306.

REFUNDS

Will I receive a refund if I have to cancel my registration?  To receive a refund, any changes and/or cancellations must be received in writing no later than July 1, 2009.  All cancellations will incur a $50 processing fee.

STUDENT DISCOUNTS

 

Do you offer student discounts?  Undergraduate and Graduate Students pay just $25 ($40 after July 1).  High School Student will receive a complimentary registration.  Student ID is required.

 

TRANSPORTATION

 

Will transportation be provided during the conference?  Transportation will be provided between the offsite hotels and the University of Michigan.  Bus Schedule Coming Soon.
