AAPT's Top 75 Physicists

In 2006, AAPT will celebrate its 75th Anniversary. To help commemorate this event, AAPT is producing a booklet containing interviews with 75 physicists who have been instrumental in physics research and/or education. A sample of the types of questions that will be asked follow:

  • What have been the most important developments in physics and/or physics education (K-20) in the last 75 years?
  • What role has technology played in physics and/or physics education (K-20) in the last 75 years?
  • What changes in pre-college physics or physical science education in the last 75 years have had the greatest positive impact? The greatest negative impact?
  • What changes in undergraduate physics education in the last 75 years have had the greatest positive impact? The greatest negative impact?
  • What changes in physics and/or physics education (K-20) do you see happening in the next 25 years? Which of these are positive? Which of these are negative?
  • Do you feel hopeful about the future of physics?
  • What are you currently listening to, watching or reading?

If you would like to recommend someone to fill one of the top 75 slots, please let us know! You may use this form to enter up to three recommendations. Please enter your recommendations by July 5.
