Established in 1993
The Excellence in Pre-College Physics Teaching Award recognizes outstanding achievement in teaching pre-college physics.
The recipient, an AAPT member for whom pre-college teaching is a primary responsibility, is invited to make a presentation at an AAPT Summer Meeting. The recipient receives a $3,000 monetary award, travel expenses to the meeting, and an Award Certificate.
Previous winners of the Oersted Award or the Robert A. Millikan Award are not eligible for this award, and self-nominations are not appropriate.
