Biography
I was born in D.C. on September 7, 1990 and lived to Crofton, a small (to a city kid) town in Maryland. When I was 7, I moved to Berkeley, and after a year moved to Hillsborough across the bay. While in Hillsborough I learned to play classical guitar, which I have been playing for about 6 years now. After 3 years in California, I moved farther south in the same state to Los Angeles. Here I developed a love for Latin and the JCL, from which I have received numerous awards. I also became involved with MathCounts at this time, further honing my love of math during this time, including teaching myself Precalculus in 7th grade and Calculus in 8th grade. Last summer, I also began my own research project in neurology at UCLA, thanks to Dr. Bartzokis. I taught myself a decent amount of programming as well, around this time. Around this time I have also became a pretty much die-hard individualist and libertarian, thanks to Milton Friedman, to the annoyance of basically everyone else in Los Angeles – but I think that this philosophy has helped to propel me onwards.

This year has been my first year of taking physics (AP Physics C) and I have enjoyed it a lot, despite starting out pretty much in the dark. I’d like to thank my physics teachers Mr. Feulner and Dr. Nassar for putting up with me and my love for Post-Its and my occasional obscure South Park reference, and helping nourish my love for physics. Look forward to camp in May.
