Biography
First of all, this is my second year making the team, so you can feel free to read my autobiography from last year. But, in case you don’t, I was born in Washington, DC, but when I was about 5, we moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland. I lived there until I was about 8 or 9, then moved to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, at the end of my 3rd grade year. I lived in Lewisburg until we moved again, at the beginning of the summer/end of my 6th grade year, this time to Wilmington, Delaware. I have always been interested in math and science more than the humanities, mainly because I have liked the experience of solving problems that comes with it. Through my high school years, I have already taken AP Calculus BC, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, and AP Physics C (but also took the B test), and gotten 5s on all of them. Additionally, I have taken many courses through the University of Delaware, including Calculus 3, Differential Equations, and Abstract Algebra, as well as Organic Chemistry, which I am currently taking. Last year I took the SAT II’s for Chemistry, Physics, and Math II, and received 800s on all three. This year, I am also taking Discrete Math, Modern Physics, AP Statistics, AP Computer Science (AB), AP English Lit, AP Economics, AP Senioritis, and AP Counter-Strike.

Last year, I very much enjoyed the training camp, and look forward to seeing some of last year’s team members again, as well as meeting the new members of this year. Additionally, although it has not yet been decided yet, I would like to say that I do hope that the US sends a team to Iran this year to compete at the International Physics Olympiad. I anticipate another camp filled with Ultimate Frisbee, Chrononauts, and…. oh yeah, physics.

Next year, I will be attending MIT, where I will most likely major in math and physics. I am still unsure what I would like to do after college (other than that I plan to go to graduate school), but I still have a few years to decide.
