Biography
Well, not too much has changed since I wrote my autobiography last year, except that I am now a senior and will be going to Harvard next year. I’ve also gained a bit of research experience and was fortunate enough to have the privilege of spending a week in Washington D.C. for the Intel Science Talent Institute. Besides that, I still would like to pursue ophthalmology and/or vision research as a career, with the hope of combining my knowledge of the physical and biological sciences to improve understanding of how the human eye works.

What’s fascinating about physics is that a handful of fundamental laws and equations can be used to describe an incredibly wide range of phenomena and solve an astonishing number of problems. After taking AP Biology this year, I have come to appreciate how amazing it is that no matter how complex biological systems can be, there are always physical principles that can be used to explain how and why they work. I hope that what I learn at camp this year will further my understanding of the importance and elegance of physics.

Finally, I would like to thank my family, friends, and teachers for their constant support. It’s a great honor to be on the US Physics Team again, and I am looking forward to seeing all the other team members soon!
