Abstract: This report describes the impact of switching to an online homework system (Moodle) in a small liberal arts college environment for introductory algebra and calculus-based physics courses. As a first step, this study looks at the online homework's effectiveness by examining homework and test scores on both conceptual and numerical problems. This study also looks at the effect of online homework on instructor-student interaction and best practices working within the constraints of the Moodle system.
