Abstract:
|
The VARK questionnaire is a Web-based test that assesses a student's preferred learning style as Visual, Auditory, Read/Write, Kinesthetic, or Multi-modal. This study will focus on a comparison between the learning styles defined by the VARK questionnaire and student performance on pre- and post-tests for students in a one-semester conceptual physics course at a mid-sized regional university. The subject population primarily consists of students who expect to teach at the K-6 level. The physics course is a highly interactive class involving flashcard feedback, small-group activities, and group projects.
