Title: X-ray of a Rose Blossom

Strong x-rays have the ability to penetrate objects that visible light can't pass through. The rose was x-rayed with "white" x-rays (20 kV, 10 mA). The photograph shows the delicate petals of the blossom in great detail. Where the x-rays have been absorbed strongly, the x-ray negative is white. A positive print was subsequently made from the negative.
