Assign Class by Class Name

Use the Assign Classes by Class Name option to make a registered class available as a formatting option for multiple CommonSpot Elements or Element subcomponents. Once assigned, registered classes are available to contributors with Style permissions. Note that you can only assign and make available style classes first registered through the Manage Classes dialog.

Expand Content Formatting in the left panel of the Site Administration Dashboard and click Assign Classes by Name.

The Assign Class by Class Name dialog contains lets you set the CSS class that CommonSpot uses when it displays an element.

Select one of the classes registered with CommonSpot from the Select Class. The use default style assigns the CommonSpot default class. See Setting Global Style Defaults for more information.

A list of Element types and subcomponents for assigning this class displays. To expand/collapse the Element/subcomponent list, click the plus or minus icon to the left of each Element name.

Check the appropriate boxes and click Save to complete the class assignment for the selected Element/subcomponent(s), or Cancel to exit. The selections in the example above assigned formatting to text around images, image captions, and text block captions.
