Description
|
Everything you need to start a household electricity unit in your physics classroom. Participants will build a student station that will accommodate actual electrical components used in common household electric projects. The station includes a fused power supply, conduit-connected electric boxes which will simulate an actual house with actual electrical requirements. These include 2-way and 3-way switched overhead lamps, a common outlet, a complete bedroom, doorbells, thermostats and more! You'll actually bring home a brief-case-sized self-contained student station with all of the equipment to build the circuits above and plans to build similar kits for each of your lab stations. No experience necessary. We will build and assemble the stations during the morning and use them to perform the student experiments during the afternoon. The "final exam" will be building your own working lamp "from scratch". Come enjoy this totally hands on approach to the world of household electricity.
