Abstract: During the fall 2015 semester, a Physics Instruction Practicum course (PHY3400) was designed, prepared and taught. From a blank canvas to the final product; this talk will highlight what went right, what went wrong and everything in between. After a brief presentation, audience members are encouraged to share their experiences with teaching similar courses. Since there are only a few text books available that address the teaching of physics to future high school physics teachers, there is a need for such a discussion to ensure that there is a positive teaching environment, well developed assignments as well as adequate assessment.
