Summer Leadership Institute

Apply for the AAPT/PTRA Summer Institute, July 23-25, 2015, College Park, MD.

The AAPT/Physics Teaching Resource Agents (PTRA) program provides peer-led professional development for K-12 teachers of physics.  A strength of the AAPT/PTRA program lies in the annual training at the Summer Institute that focuses on updates in pedagogy, technology, and content.  This professional development for the PTRA leaders allows the participants to become certified in specific content areas that they may then offer that content in workshops for peers in their own district or state.

We are now accepting applications for the 2015 Summer Institute, which is open to current PTRAs and to highly experienced teachers of physics who would like to become certified as PTRAs.  Current PTRAs are also encouraged to identify teachers of physics who might attend the Institute and have them apply as described below.

To apply for the 2015 PTRA Leadership Institute, complete the online application (https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PTRA15) before March 30, 2015.  For more information regarding the institute or PTRA requirements contact Karen Jo Matsler (kmatsler@me.com).  Thank you for your interest in PTRA.
