It is not too early to start thinking about AAPT’s 2006 Summer Meeting. October 15 is the deadline to submit your sessions and workshops requests for the 2006 summer meeting in Syracuse, NY. Make your voice be heard in the name of quality physics education! These are critical times in physics education, and it is for that reason that you vote for your choice of 2006 candidates for AAPT National Office. You should have received your ballot for the 2006 candidates for AAPT national office in the mail. Your vote can impact the future direction of the association. The deadline for voting is November 1. If you have not received a ballot please email the AAPT Communication’s Department at aapt-pubs@aapt.org

As part of our celebration of our 75th Anniversary, AAPT will be having a weekly online member-only trivia contest. A new trivia question will be posted each Monday. A random weekly prize will be awarded, along with a monthly grand prize. Starting November 7, go to the 75th Anniversary web page http://www.aapt.org/Anniversary/index.cfm to find out how you can enter to win.
