What if I have a disability or special need?: If you have a disability or special need that could affect your participation during the summer meeting, please contact programs@aapt.org to discuss your concerns. To ensure we have ample time and resources to accommodate your needs, kindly inform us by Friday, May 24, 2024.


Location

What are the dates of the 2024 AAPT Summer Meeting?
The meeting will take place Saturday, July 6 - Wednesday, July 10, 2024

Where will the 2024 AAPT Summer Meeting take place?
The meeting will take place at the Westin Boston Waterfront Seaport District.

What is the hotel cut-off date? 
The last day to book a room is Friday June 14, 2024.  We suggest that you book your room early, since the hotel can sell out before the cut-off date. If you're interested in finding a roommate to help reduce lodging expenses, feel free to check out the AAPT Communities platform.


Registration 

Will there be a registration fee for the 2024 AAPT Summer Meeting?

Is AAPT membership required to attend the 2024 AAPT Summer Meeting?
AAPT membership is not required to attend the Summer Meeting, however, the registration rate is lower for AAPT members.

How long will my membership or renewal take to process?
Membership or renewal processing typically takes 48 hours before member rates become accessible.

Do I need tickets to attend events or sessions?
Your 2024 AAPT Summer Meeting badge will be required for access to all sessions, workshops and the exhibit hall. You will need to obtain tickets to attend workshops and some special events.


MISC

What is the attire for the meeting?
Casual attire is recommended, along with comfortable shoes and a jacket or sweater.

Will I be photographed or videotaped?
AAPT takes photos and videos at this meeting.  By registering, you give AAPT permission to use any photos or video taken at the conference in which you appear. 


Workshops

Will workshops take place during the meeting?
Workshops are scheduled for Saturday, July 6th, and Sunday, July 7th, with an additional registration fee. They will take place at multiple venues including the Westin Boston Waterfront Seaport District, MIT, Harvard, and other locations.


Speakers

How will I know if my abstract has been accepted?
All submitted abstracts will be accepted. 

Are speakers required to register to be eligible to present?
All contributed talks, posters presenters and invited member speakers, including recently lapsed members (within the last five years) are required to register for the meetingto be eligible to present. 

How do I cancel my abstract?
If you find yourself needing to cancel your abstract for urgent reasons, including situations where you are unable to present, please reachout to us at programs@aapt.org
