AAPT Virtual Coffee Hour

Overview

Sam Sampere, Dale Stille, and David Sturm (SSS Demos), 3 past presidents of PIRA, will host the coffee hour chat this Tuesday. Since COVID, we’ve become very experienced at broadcasting online classes and have learned so much about what doesn’t work. We might even know a little bit about what might work… We’ve been switching to online labs, summer courses online, and prepping for a myriad of scenarios for the fall semester. During this time, so many teachers have been exiled from their equipment – no experiments, no demos, etc. We’ll be live in our respective demo rooms, discussing any topics you like, but you might want to take advantage of our proximity to our own equipment. We can quickly assemble any demo you want to see. You can record these for your classes. Or, upon special request, we might even be able to record something in higher quality later to share with you all afterwards. Only YOU know what you need, so let us know. If you have any special requests, send them in advance of our coffee hour so we can have them prepped and ready to go.
