AAPT® publishes two peer-reviewed journals and many other publications in both print and online. The American Journal of Physics® is geared to an advanced audience, primarily at the college level. The Physics Teacher® focuses on teaching introductory physics at all levels. AAPT eNNOUNCER, is an online-only publication that summarizes recent news from the association, its members, its partners, and from the physical sciences world in general. AAPT members also receive Physics Today, published by the American Institute of Physics, this magazine covers events throughout the physics community.
The American Journal of Physics ® and The Physics Teacher ®, including the full backfile, are included in your membership or institutional subscription. Print copies are available for an additional fee to cover printing and postage.
Online access is through Scitation and requires registration and a separate login from your AAPT membership. New members receive an email from Scitation with registration information. If you need assistance with your online journal access contact the Scitation help desk at email@example.com.
You have the option of receiving print copies of the journals for an additional fee. If you have included print copies of the journals, they will arrive in your mailbox 4-6 weeks after you join. Additional postage is required to mail journals to addresses outside of North America.

The Physics Teacher® (TPT)
The Physics Teacher, published nine times per year, focuses on teaching introductory physics at all levels. Contents include tutorial papers, articles on pedagogy, current research or news in physics, articles on history and philosophy, and biographies. Columns feature demonstrations, apparatus, and book reviews. Three free articles and other features per issue are available to share. Subscriptions include the entire TPT backfile.
Physical Review Special Topics - Physics Education Research
AAPT is pleased to cosponsor Physical Review Special Topics - Physics Education Research, a peer reviewed electronic-only journal. This journal is distributed free of charge and in conjunction with APS.
