What is a model? What is modeling? What is Modeling Instruction? NGSS tells us that models and modeling are important. There’s even a teaching method that embodies these: Modeling Instruction. Are you curious about how it works? Come to AAPT’s November Coffee Hour and join your colleagues in doing a paradigm lab. Whiteboard your group’s results, participate in some sense-making post lab modeling discourse, and debrief the experience with an experienced modeler. About the Virtual Coffee Hours: AAPT Virtual Coffee Hours are a benefit of membership and provide opportunities for our members to meet virtually in an informal setting to discuss and share teaching methods and practices with your peers.
