This photo is of two glasses with water acting like lenses. The glasses are exactly the same and are parallel to the background of diagonal stripes. The photo shows that the magnification of the lens depends on the distance between the glass-lens and the background. It is evident that the stripes do not keep their linear shape because of optical distortion of the glass lens system.
