2022 AAPT Summer Meeting

The 2022 AAPT Summer Meeting in Grand Rapids, Michigan will be live and in person. Mark your calendar and get ready to see old colleagues and connect with your peers who share your commitment to excellence in physics education. 

The 2022 AAPT Summer Meeting will take place at The Amway Grand Plaza Hotel and the Devos Place Convention Center. 

All presentations will be available to meeting registrants on-demand two weeks after the conclusion of the meeting. 

Virtual Meeting
AAPT has added a virtual component to the 2022 Summer Meeting.  The virtual meeting will take place on July 8 (with the AAPT in-person meeting, starting July 9). This meeting will consist of contributed talks, please click here to view the program.

Meeting App
The 2022 AAPT Summer Meeting app is available for download. Android users can go to their "Play Store" and Apple users can go to the "App Store" and search for AAPT.

To receive your registration materials, you will need to upload proof of vaccination to the meeting app by July 7th 2022 11:59 pm ET.

As part of AAPT COVID-19 Health and Safety Policy, you are required to provide proof of full vaccination (Moderna, Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer, etc.) in order to participate in the AAPT 2022 Summer Meeting (SM22). You will be able to do this through the AAPT meeting app. Once you download the meeting app, you will see a large "COVID Pass" button towards the bottom of the page. Click on the button and follow the instructions on uploading a picture of your vaccination card. A picture of your card must be uploaded before you arrive at the AAPT registration desk to pick-up your badge.

You will also receive and be asked to complete a short health survey on the app each day before entering the meeting space.
