+ Early Career Professionals Speed Networking Event Monday, July 18 from Noon to 1:30 p.m. - Career development and networking can be time consuming, so AAPT is offering a fun and exciting way to get connected to a large number of early career and seasoned physics professionals in a short amount of time. Speed networking provides the opportunity to discuss career goals and challenges with a new contact for five minutes, exchange information, and then move on to the next person. By the end of the event each participant will have meaningful interactions with over half a dozen colleagues and the opportunity to meet many more. If you think you made a good contact, follow up with the person and schedule a time to meet for coffee. It's that simple! By the end of the first day of the conference, you would have already made several personal connections with other attendees. If you have business cards, don't forget to bring them. |

In order to attend the PERC, you must register for the AAPT meeting either for the Full Meeting or One Day. The PERC poster reception is included. + Spin Class At the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Monday, July 18 from 6:45 - 7:45 am at Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel. This is a 1 hour spin class where dance and music drive every pedal stroke and intentional body movement to maximize workouts. The instructor begins each class with a 5-10 minute overview of proper bike set-up and workout cues that will be used throughout the class (bounce back, up four-back four, intervals, hand placement-1/2/3, etc.). The class will then be taken through 45-minutes of cardio training, followed by 10 minutes of hand weights and stretching. |

+ Yoga on the Sacramento Capitol Lawn Wednesday, July 20 from 6:45 - 7:45 am on Sacramento Capitol Lawn (five minute walk from Sheraton). Yoga is designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. Based on the ancient fitness science of hatha yoga, this class blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format. The class includes fitness towels, yoga mats, water and a sanitation station. |

- You will not be allowed to attend the AAPT National meeting unless
all registration fees are received in advance.
- All prior meeting balances must be paid before you are allowed to attend the current meeting.
- You cannot register a colleague or fellow physicist as a spouse/guest.
- Spouse/guests and children 17 and under cannot attend a paid event
without being registered for the meeting and purchasing an event ticket.
