Clifford E. Swartz

Clifford E. Swartz, editor for 29 years, was legendary for his lectures, demonstrations, and enthusiasm for teaching physics. His monthly editorials were renowned for their wit and advice on how people learn. Cliff took great care to make sure that TPT supported the teaching of introductory physics in high schools, colleges, and universities. 

The Clifford E. Swartz Fund was established by Cliff’s family shortly after his death in 2010 to support The Physics Teacher. It is managed by the AAPT Publications Committee and will be used to improve and enhance TPT with ever advancing and expensive publishing technology.
